U.N. seeking to intervene in U.S. border crisis.

UN_Members_FlagsUNITED NATIONS – Representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, or UNHRC, are “intensely discussing in meetings” the possibility of extending U.N. protection to the thousands of Central Americans crossing the U.S. border with Mexico illegally by defining them as “refugees” who are seeking asylum from political and domestic violence in their home nations, WND has confirmed.

Officials privy to the U.N. discussions have explained to WND it’s “a tricky situation,” because the Central American immigrants are not part of any group the U.N. has designated as victims of political or religious persecution.

A UNHCR official confirmed Monday to WND via email that a 10-nation meeting in Nicaragua of ministers of the interior from the U.S., Mexico and various Central American countries was held Thursday and Friday.

The ministers, according to preliminary reports obtained by WND, concluded the Central American illegal aliens are “refugees” deserving international protection under the auspices of the U.N. as they seek asylum in the U.S. The ministers cited the U.N.’s 30-year-old declaration on the rights of refugees.

Attending the meeting were UNHRC representatives, as well as representatives of SICA, the El Salvador-headquartered non-government organization known in English as Central American Integration System. The group was endorsed by the U.N. General Assembly in a resolution Dec. 10, 1993, to create regional bodies and institutions authorized to interact with the U.N. officially in an effort to unify Central American states politically and economically.

On Monday, the UNHRC in Colombia notified WND the U.N. would issued a press release Tuesday afternoon on last week’s 10-nation meeting in Nicaragua, after receiving comments from SICA and the host country.

In 1991, SICA was created by Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, with Belize becoming a full member in 2013. SICA includes the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Uruguay and Colombia as regional observers.

Physical Cliff

Cliff_Edge_warningOften times if you follow politics or heck even turn on the news or read the news paper you hear the term fiscal cliff, It’s usually used to scare Americans into supporting some crap agenda by a certain political party. Well today I want to speak about another kind of cliff were headed for if things don’t change soon.  We will call it a Physical Cliff. Our country was once the greatest of all nations, you had freedom, liberty and prosperity just to name a few : all with a bill of rights and our beloved constitution to back it up. Now the very foundation of our country is being chipped away a little at a time by democrats, republicans, celebrities, education systems, TV and pretty much anything that has to do with the government, money, or politics. The main stream news is always talking about a new crisis, and as soon as the money or political gain is gone the story is swept under the rug, They the MSM make huge stories out of nothing like so and so celebrity, got a DUI (of course they seldom mention that they just get scolded a little), or wrecked a car. Very little mention of real news is ever presented. However there is a lot and I mean a LOT going on in the country we live in. Illegal aliens coming across the border just like it was crossing the street bringing diseases, and lice. Taking up more of the few jobs we have left, In some states they have more rights and can live more freely than us the American Citizen. For instance when I got my license, I have to provide proof of residence, an original birth certificate, and prove I was a citizen. Some states are being forced by Federal Law to give them license even If they can’t provide all the documentation.  When enrolling my children in school after a recent move here in Alabama, I had to provide proof of residence by showing a copy of my lease also provide copies of Birth certificates, Social Security Cards, Blue Cards (shot records). If I would have been a illegal alien I would not have had to provide most of that, And if I did not speak English I could receive even more benefits. The state is required by law to provide me with food stamps and TANF, if I told them my immigrant children were hungry, even if I could not prove my income. However if I were to go and try to apply for Food Stamps or TANF or any other Government program I would have to prove who I was, where I live, all my assets, and prove my income. It is truly a sad time when I can get a ticket or fine for fishing without a licence but Illegal Immigrants can flood across the border and reak all kind of destruction,  and be given rewards for it.

The next problem is there are conflicts all across the globe and the United States just has to be involved in every one,  and really not doing anything but stirring up trouble. There is unimaginable mass corruption in our entire system of government, everything from local judiciary courts all the way up to the President of the United States. They insist on controlling every single aspect of our lives. just like the Nazi Germans did. Most people are oblivious to whats going on around them. The information and proof is there written in black and white, if they would care to look or listen.  Local mayors, Police officers, and judges most are corrupt in someway, not just here everywhere.  Every which direction I look just about I see the United States snowballing down a slippery slope, and very few are even trying to stop it.  In fact some of the idiots are encouraging it, and helping to push it along. Everyone wants to blame Obama, and yea he has done his fair share to screw things up what with all his executive actions, but he is to much of a moron to master mind this whole collapse his self, I’m not giving the idiot that much credit.  All Obama is is a Yes Man, Yes i’ll screw the country, Yes I’ll triple gas prices by causing panic and promoting “global awareness” or something.  Yes you too can be appointed to a powerful office. Sure you can poison millions of Americans’ with the food you manufacture. You get what i’m saying.  My point is Obama is just a puppet in the corrupt system money controls everything, If you have the money you have the power simple as that.  There are plenty other people in Washington and all over the United States to blame for the mess this country is in right now, not just Obama. Just to clarify I am not in any way a fan of Obama,  just stating the facts.

Back to the topic of cliffs. I am certain that the United States is headed in the wrong direction, and has almost finished creating  it’s own demise. Picture the United States like a box. Much like the extremely horrible , and terribly scary fiscal cliff, When that fiscal Cliff box is pushed close to the edge closer and closer it falls over and tada ALL National parks close and VA Memorials all across the country close in the blink of an eye,  because lack of funding.  While the government is spending double the money for officers to keep people off the closed property during this time for their own safety, proving that the whole fiscal cliff government shutdown is really a load of BS, and the government really does not shutdown.  The hypothetical physical cliff we are headed toward is far more dangerous. The government keeps pushing our box closer and closer to the edge and eventually we as a country will fall over the side, it would have been to far and be to late to stop it at that point. There would be no way back. However there is still time to stop this from happening to this great country, but it requires everyone to stand up for what is right and push the box back the other direction. You have to stand up and have a voice. Oppose Agenda 21, Oppose Big Government, Oppose Common Core,  Oppose corruption , Oppose GMO poison, Oppose big pharma, Oppose a “New World Order” or a so called “One world Government”, Oppose the “New” Constitution,  Oppose the Forcible and unaffordable  Care Act.

Statists Call For Drone Strike on Bundy Supporters

As a federal appeals court rules that the Obama administration must divulge its legal basis for launching drone strikes against American citizens, many statists opposed to Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy’s stand against the government are calling for him and his supporters to be the victims of what would be America’s first domestic drone attack.

Of course, it’s virtually inconceivable that the White House would launch a Predator drone strike against U.S. citizens, Harry Reid’s “domestic terrorist” slur not withstanding, but the mere fact that self-proclaimed liberals are openly calling for Bundy supporters to be massacred provides us with yet another chilling insight into the warped minds of statists.

The most egregious offense committed by Bundy supporters in the eyes of such people is the fact that a minority of Bunkerville protesters were carrying guns during last weekend’s standoff with heavily armed Bureau of Land Management agents.

This again underscores the rampant hypocrisy of leftists who grandstand as gun control advocates yet fully support the state having a monopoly on firearms. Hundreds of armed BLM agents seizing Bundy’s property while aiming sniper rifles at his family members and tasing them for exercising free speech is not only tolerated by liberals but enthusiastically supported. Indeed, it seems that many were disappointed that BLM agents didn’t follow through on the slaughter they promised during the standoff at Bunkerville.

Virtually every point of resentment directed against Bundy by leftists is borne out of repugnant duplicity and double standards, most notably the charge that Bundy is both engaging in lawlessness and is a “freeloader” for not paying grazing fees, a criticism liberals are perfectly willing to dispense with when it comes to the 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States.

When a group of Occupy Wall Street demonstrators were brutally pepper sprayed during the infamous incident at UC Davis in 2011 (prompted by students flouting a law they saw as unjust), liberals were rightly outraged and their fury was shared by libertarians who have been speaking out against America’s burgeoning police state for years.

However, now that the shoe is on the other foot, liberals have chosen to either ignore the federal government’s targeting of the Bundy family and their supporters, or in some cases have adopted the role of cheerleaders in unashamedly urging actual bloodshed.

A small crack in the windshield justifies the search of a car according to a new Nevada Supreme Court ruling.

Nevada’s Supreme Court earlier this month decided that motorists can be stopped and searched if a tiny rock scratches a vehicle’s windshield. The court took up a case where a police officer stopped a motorist but was wrong about the statute governing windshields. The high court decided to find a way to make the initial stop stick.

The case revolved around whether Deputy Wendy Jason was right to pull over Jarvis Deer Cantsee when she saw he had a crack across his windshield in what she thought was a violation of a statute banning driving “with any sign poster or other nontransparent material upon the front windshield.” A lower court ruled that the traffic stop was inappropriate because the deputy got the law wrong, but the state appealed all the way to the high court. A divided majority sided with the prosecution.

“We conclude that a police officer’s citation to an incorrect statute is not a mistake of law that invalidates an investigatory traffic stop under the Fourth Amendment if another statute nonetheless prohibits the suspected conduct,” Justice James W. Hardesty wrote for the court. “Therefore, we reverse the district court’s order.”

Justice Michael A. Cherry, in the minority, warned of the consequence of his colleagues’ finding.

“Of course, this argument is troubling; its adoption would make any citizen who was the victim of a pebble lodged in a windshield, a frequent occurrence on those long drives across our vast state, susceptible to a traffic stop,” the dissenting opinion explained.

In the course of the lower court battle, state prosecutors decided that Cantsee must have violated a different statute, NRS 484B.163, which states: “A vehicle must not be operated upon any highway unless the driver’s vision through any required glass equipment is normal.” Washoe County Judge David A. Hardy found the switch of statute in the middle of the case unfairly surprised the defense, and he ordered the evidence obtained from the stop suppressed. This is the first time the issue has come before the state Supreme Court.

“There is a difference between a mistake of law and a mistake as to which law applies,” Justice Hardesty wrote for the majority. “Deputy Jason initiated the traffic stop because of the cracked windshield. She cited Cantsee for violating NRS 484D.435, believing that it was the applicable statute. She was mistaken. Although this statute does not prohibit Cantsee’s conduct, a crack that obstructs the driver’s vision through the windshield could be an infraction under NRS 484B.163. We conclude that this statute provides a lawful ground to justify the stop because the crack in the windshield might have obstructed Cantsee’s view.”

Justice Cherry, in his dissent, points out that the trial judge had already rejected the possibility that there was a violation of the 484B.163 statute. The majority insisted on sending the case back to the lower court for adjudication on this question.

US Postal Service Joins in Federal Ammo Purchases

Add the U.S. Postal Service to the list of federal agencies seeking to purchase what some Second Amendment activists say are alarmingly large quantities of ammunition.

Earlier this year, the USPS posted a notice on its website, under the heading “Assorted Small Arms Ammunition,” that says: “The United States Postal Service intends to solicit proposals for assorted small arms ammunition. If your organization wishes to participate, you must pre-register. This message is only a notification of our intent to solicit proposals.”

Alan Gottlieb, chairman of the Washington-based Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, said: “We’re seeing a highly unusual amount of ammunition being bought by the federal agencies over a fairly short period of time. To be honest, I don’t understand why the federal government is buying so much at this time.”

Jake McGuigan, director of state affairs and government relations for the National Shooting Sports Foundation, said widely reported federal ammunition purchases have sparked conspiracy-type fears among gun owners, who worry that the federal government is trying to crack down on Second Amendment rights via the back door by limiting the ammo available to owners.

It’s not just the USPS that is stocking up on ammo.

A little more than a year ago, the Social Security Administration put in a request for 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow-point” bullets.

Before that, it was the Department of Agriculture requesting 320,000 rounds. More recently, the Department of Homeland Security raised eyebrows with its request for 450 million rounds — at about the same time the FBI separately sought 100 million hollow-point rounds.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also requested 46,000 rounds.

Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, asked: why exactly does a weather service need ammunition?

“NOAA — really? They have a need? One just doesn’t know why they’re doing this,” he said. “The problem is, all these agencies have their own SWAT teams, their own police departments, which is crazy. In theory, it was supposed to be the U.S. marshals that was the armed branch for the federal government.”

Armed federal employees are often assigned to offices of investigative services, the offices of inspectors general, or other equally bureaucratic agencies.

For instance, regular Internal Revenue Service agents aren’t equipped with on-the-job guns — but those affiliated with the agency’s Criminal Investigations Division are.

The same goes for workers with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, with the Department of Agriculture’s Office of Inspector General, and with the Department of Education’s Office of Inspector General.

The Energy Department, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Commerce Department, and the U.S. Agency for International Development are a few of the federal entities that boast an armed division, tasked with investigating fraud and suspected criminal activities. As such, the agents get to carry guns.

“Most of these agencies do have their own police forces,” said Jim Wallace, executive director of the Massachusetts-based Gun Owners’ Action League.

That, perhaps more than federal ammunition purchases, is the larger issue, he suggested, and Van Cleave agreed.

“What’s the need for that? Do we really need this? That was something our Founding Fathers did not like and we should all be concerned about,” Van Cleave said, speaking of the expansion of police forces throughout all levels of government.

The Department of Homeland Security employs in its various law enforcement entities — from the Coast Guard to the Secret Service to Customs and Border Protection — more than 200,000 workers, an estimated 135,000 of whom are authorized to carry weapons. When the agency makes its ammo buys, it often does so over the course of several years.

“We realize that the House is still investigating the ammo purchases by the administration, but from what we’ve seen so far, most representatives don’t seem alarmed,” said Erich Pratt, communications director for Gun Owners of America.

“For example, [Georgia Republican] Rep. Lynn Westmoreland said that given all the agencies that the Department of Homeland Security purchases for, “450 million rounds really is not that large of an order,” Pratt said.

McGuigan acknowledged that there was a scarcity of ammo but attributed it more to a rise in purchases by individuals.

The Obama administration’s stated desire to scale back gun rights drove more in the private sector to purchase firearms — which in turn fueled ammunition sales, McGuigan said.

“Over the last few years, there’s been a tremendous increase in gun ownership, [with] many more females,” McGuigan said. “I think a lot of people need to be aware of what’s happening, and what the federal agencies are doing. I don’t think, though, they need to be overly concerned that there’s not going to be any ammo left.”

But the notion of the Obama administration’s using backdoor means to scale back gun ownership — a move that’s hardly been kept secret — doesn’t seem that outlandish to some.

“I don’t believe in conspiracy theories, but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense,” Gottlieb said. “The amount of ammunition they’re buying up far exceeds their needs. It far exceeds what they’ll use — they’ll never use it all.”

Death of Down Syndrome Man in Police Custody Ruled ‘Homocide’ No Charges Filed

RobertSaylorA man with down syndrome was killed while in police custody, his death ruled a homicide, and no charges were brought against the officers involved.

The victim, Robert Saylor, was at a movie theater with a health aide in Frederick on the night of the incident. He had just watched Zero Dark Thirty and refused to leave the theater after the film ended.

Three off-duty deputies who were moonlighting as security at the theater were called to handle the situation. The situation turned violent and Saylor ended up face down on the ground.

The cause of death, according to the autopsy, was asphyxiation. The autopsy also said Saylor’s larynx had been damaged. A witness said an officer had put his knee on Saylor’s lower back while Saylor was on his stomach being handcuffed, according to The Associated Press.

An internal “investigation” cleared the three officers, Lt. Scott Jewell, Sgt. Rich Rochford and Deputy First Class James Harris, of any wrongdoing.

A petition calling on Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley to conduct an independent investigation into Saylor’s death had garnered more than 374,000 signatures as of April 8th, 2014.

As no charges were brought against the officers involved in this incident, the family has since filed suit against the Sheriff’s Department, citing “gross negligence.”

Robert Saylor’s death is tragic and highlights a serious lack of competence when it comes to police handling situations involving those with special needs.

Just last week we saw a horrifying beating of a special needs man by police that reinforces this level of incompetence.  The fact is that police are severely lacking skills in dealing with special needs individuals.

In a two-part study, researchers looked at use of the crisis intervention team, or CIT, model, a 40-hour program to train police to respond to those with mental health issues. They interviewed 586 officers, 251 of whom had received CIT training, and reviewed more than 1,000 police encounters with individuals believed to have behavioral disorders.

Officers who participated in CIT training were more knowledgeable about mental health issues, treatments and de-escalation skills, according to findings published in the April issue of the journal Psychiatric Services.

What’s more, when looking at emergency responses, incidents involving officers with CIT training were more likely to result in transport to mental health services and less likely to culminate in arrest. Researchers found that officers who had participated in training were also much more likely to indicate that the highest level of force used in their emergency response was verbal engagement or negotiation.

With the increased prevalence in Autism and police aggression in general, something must be done before anymore innocent lives are taken.
